Bianca Bond

My name is Bianca Bond, I am a proud Kabi Kabi woman living on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.  I am very proud of my Cultural Identity and have a strong passion for my people and our cultural values.  I have been raised knowing who I am, where I come from, and the Country I belong to my entire life.  I come from a strong line of cultural leaders and mentors who have gone before me. If it had not of been for the strength and resilience of my forebears, along with their wisdom and guidance I would not be who I am today.

I have nearly 20 years’ experience in community development, youth work, cultural advocacy and cultural education.  I am very passionate about our cultures, people, community, mental health and helping others overcome challenges of mental health, grief, trauma and barriers in life.

This passion comes from my own personal and very real experiences of mental health, grief, loss & trauma, and the challenges I have had to overcome as an Aboriginal woman and a single mother of 4 children. I understand that as Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People we face many complex challenges and barriers in life, and I would like to be able to support individuals in healing, empowerment and finding positive pathways for their success in life and overall wellbeing including, mental, spiritual, and physical.
